Today is for Jane Crooks. I met Jane after my first FIT class at Greendale (where I was pretty sure I was going to die and I was so sore the following days I couldn’t roll over in bed) and she said to me “just come back next week, it’ll get easier.” And I did. And it did. Then with some encouragement, I started running and she was my biggest cheerleader. Then she told me about the Y Running team and I actually joined. She is one of my biggest supporters, positive reinforcers, cheerleaders and confidantes. And not just in my athletic life, she even went to the library last year during the WPS Arts Festival and found my students’ work and picked her favorite and told me why. She is an incredible woman and I hope to half what she is in my lifetime. #30daysofgratitude #day17 #jane
